Friday, starts at 9:00 a.m.

9.00. Competition No. 1 – Competition with evaluation. Conduction tasks for children with I and II group ponies/horses (walking, trotting). For riders who have not participated in show jumping competitions in 2017/2018, and first season ponies/horses.

 

Competitions 1 and 2 will take place at the same time!

 

9.00. Competition No. 2 – Obstacles height 65 cm, speed competition (Art. 238.2.1.)

For I and II group pony riders.

Competition No. 9 (XI Latvian Horse Days) – Obstacles height from 140 cm (Art. 262.2), contest „Strength and skill”, no restrictions. Athletes are only allowed to participate with one horse.

Sunday, starts at 9:00 a.m.

Competition No. 12 (XI Latvian Horse Days) Obstacles height 65 cm (70cm 12B), in 2 phases (Art. 274.5.6) To be ranked in the competition, the participant must start in both phases.

12A – Challenge Cup. For riders over 25 years old – horse breeders, grooms, trainers, judges, assistants, carriage drivers and dressage athletes, veterinarians, and other participants who have never or at least for the last 5 years have not participated in show jumping ranking courses.

The riders shall wear colourful glamorous attire. Athletes in the most interesting and fun outfits will receive prizes! The riders will start to the music of their choice (please specify the music of your choice in the Appendix)

Cones

v  Competition with a winning round. FEI Driving Rules and Para-Equestrian Driving Rules, Article 980.

Children (10 – 14 years old) Fault Competition. FEI Driving Rules and Para-Equestrian Driving Rules, Article 976.

17 A – Horse single (4-year old and older)

17 B – Pony single (4-year old and older)

17 C – Children Class (10 – 14 years old)

(Participants receive diplomas, rosettes, and gifts from competition sponsors)

 

Competitions will be held in M1 horse, pony and children classes. It is permitted to start twice with one horse/pony.

Athletes and grooms under 18 must wear safety helmets and safety vests / back guards. The time of the course inspection by the participants will be shorter than what is specified in the Rules.

The results of the competitions will be added to the “The best rider of the year” score.

 

In the application, please specify the information about the rider, horse/pony – a brief description of the team for the tournament commentator.

 

 

Competition No. 18 (XI Latvian Horse Days) RIDE and DRIVE. Team of two participants wearing masks. Obstacles height 90 cm. The task of the competition – one team member should complete the course within the shortest possible time and without penalty points, the other one has to drive a tractor on a special course. Four best teams shall compete in the finals for I-III place.

Entry fee: for course 1: EUR 10; for course 2: EUR 20; for courses 3 to 6, 10, 11: EUR 25; for courses 7, 8: EUR 30; for course 9: EUR 35; for course 12: EUR 20; for relay race course 13 – free of charge; for course 14: EUR 25; for course 15: EUR 40 (per pair); for course 16: EUR 50 (per pair); for course 17: EUR 20; for course 18: EUR 25 (per team).

 

* YRS gift cards received in Round I of the YRS Tournament can be used as entry fee for the Round II courses!

 

All payments should be made before or during competition!

 

Box rent: EUR 25 from 12 to 15 July.

1 pack of shavings in the box– 20 kg.

Also available: shavings – EUR 6.00 per sack, hay – EUR 5.00.

 

Award ceremony

The participants should only appear at the award ceremony with ponies/horses. In special cases, the Chief Jury, in consultation with the Organising Committee, may authorize a participant to appear at the award ceremony without a horse.

 

In competition No. 1 all participants receive rosettes, diplomas and presents immediately upon completion of the course.

In competition No. 2 1st-6th place winners receive diplomas, rosettes, and prizes from competition sponsors.

In competition No. 3 to No. 8, No. 10, 11 1st-6th place winners receive diplomas, rosettes, gifts from competition sponsors and money prizes.

In competition No. 3 to No. 8, No. 10, 11 7th-10th place winners receive surprise prizes from the organisers.

In competition No. 9 1st -3rd place winners receive diplomas, rosettes, gifts from competition sponsors and money prizes.

In competition No. 12 1st-6th place winners receive diplomas, rosettes, and prizes from competition sponsors.

In competition No. 13 1st -3rd place winners receive diplomas, rosettes, prizes.

In competition No. 14 1st-6th place winners receive diplomas, rosettes, gifts from competition sponsors, and money prizes.

In competition No. 15, No. 16, No. 18 1st -3rd place winners receive diplomas, rosettes, money prizes

In competition No. 17A 1st -5th place winners receive diplomas, rosettes, money prizes.

In competition No. 17B 1st -3rd place winners receive diplomas, rosettes, money prizes.

In competition No. 17C 1st -3rd place winners receive diplomas, rosettes, prizes.

 

 

The athletes should collect money prizes and other prizes before the end of the tournament.

 

Applications

Arrival to the competition venue: from 12:00 Thursday, 12 July

Applications should be submitted by 20:00, Wednesday, 11 July, by filling in an application form on the website www.latvianhorses.lv. Applications sent after the specified time will not be accepted.

When applying for open classes up to 100 cm (inclusive), please specify in the notes whether the rider starts with a horse or a pony.

 

If a rider participates in ranking courses (except for young horse courses) with several horses, the points will be awarded to the rider with the horse, which he claims to be the first before the start. The rider can participate with one horse in one competition, competing for the title of the best rider of the relevant competition in the tournament. In case of equality of points, the result of the ranking course of the final stage will be the decisive factor.

In case of change of the rider in the young horse courses in the three rounds, each time points will be awarded to the young horse with the relevant rider, and these points are not cumulative.

The winner shall be the rider who took part in all ranking courses of the 3 rounds of the tournament and received the highest score.

 

Athletes accumulate points in the following 5 competitions of 3 rounds of the tournament:

·         riders with I and II group ponies;

·         riders up to 16 years old;

·         riders with horses up to 5 years old;

·         riders up to 25 years old;

·         best YRS rider 2018.

 

The title of the best rider in each competition will be awarded by summing up points at 3 rounds of the tournament:

1st tournament round – 28-29 April

2nd tournament round – 13-15 July

3rd tournament round, finals – 15-16 September

 

Winners of the first three places in the finals in ponies ranking receive presents, the first place winner receives a trip, winners of the first three places in other competitions receive presents and money prizes. Scheme of tournament points awarding: 1st place – 20 points; 2nd place – 18; 3rd place -16; 4th place -14; 5th place – 12; 6th place – 10; 7th place – 8; 8th place – 6; 9th place – 4; 10th place – 3; 11th place – 2; 12th place – 1.

By participating in the competition, you agree that the event will be filmed and photographed. The images resulting from the photography/video filming may be broadcast, published and distributed.

The participants take personal responsibility for possible accidents during the competitions. Participants up to 16 years old must have protective vests.

An emergency medical service and a veterinarian will be on duty during the competitions. The horses must have horse passports with the necessary examinations records in accordance with the Cabinet Regulations No. 40 (21. The owner or the holder of animals, after obtaining the information from the database of the State Agency “Agricultural Data Centre” specifying from which animals samples need to be taken for laboratory examination, in accordance with the programme for supervision and control of equine infectious anaemia that has been developed and approved by the Agency, shall, at least once every three years, ensure serosurrey of the animals over 12 months old). Passports will be verified. If a horse passport is not presented, or any vaccination mandatory in the Republic of Latvia is missing, the horse will not be admitted to the competition, and the entry fee will not be refunded!

Any situations that have not been mentioned in the Rules will be resolved by the Judges and the Organiser.
