Ranking course for “The best rider in show jumping in the Republic of Latvia 2019” in accordance with the Rules

R U L E S

Date and venue: 7-8 September 2019, at 9:00. Inčukalna nov., „Zustrenes”, Sports Centre of the Young Riders School

Organisers: The competitions are organized by the association Young Riders School (YRS) in cooperation with the Latvian Equestrian Federation (LEF)

Competition Schedule

Saturday, starts at 9:00 a.m.

9:00. Competition No. 1 – Competition with evaluation. Conduction tasks for children with I and II group ponies/horses (walking, trotting). For riders who have not participated in show jumping competitions in 2018/2019, and first season ponies/horses.

 

Competitions 1 and 2 will take place at the same time!

 

9:00. Competition No. 2 – Obstacles height 70 cm, competition with one jump-off (Art. 238.2.2) For riders up to 16 years old (year of birth 2003 or later) with I and II group ponies.

TOURNAMENT RANKING COURSE for riders up to 16 years old with I and II group ponies

Competition No. 3 – Obstacles height up to 40 cm. Ideal time – 300 m/min.

For riders up to 10 years old (year of birth 2009 or later) with I and II group ponies.

Competitions with a set time norm, which is called “ideal time”. Penalty points for shorter “ideal time” are not awarded. If the “ideal time” is exceeded, one penalty point is awarded for each four seconds that have begun. Other faults are evaluated according to Table A. In these competitions, the external display of time records is not allowed.

The athlete having the lowest number of penalty points and the smallest difference between the posted time and the “ideal time” will have the best result. In the case where penalty points and the difference in time are equal, contenders for the first place may have a jump-off on a shorter route with the increased obstacle height and/or width in accordance with the requirements of the Rules.

Other athletes shall be ranked according to the penalty points and the difference between the posted time and the “ideal time”.

Competition No. 4 – Obstacles height 80 cm, speed competition (Art. 238.2.1), no restrictions. (Prize fund EUR 225: 60, 50, 40, 30, 25, 20)

Competition No. 5 – Obstacles height 100 cm, speed competition (Art. 238.2.1), no restrictions.

(Prize fund EUR 300: 90, 65, 50, 40, 30, 25)

Competition No. 6 – Obstacles height 110 cm, (Art. 238.2.1), no restrictions.

Competition No. 7 – Obstacles height 120 cm.  (Art. 238.2.1), no restrictions.

Competition No. 8 – Obstacles height 100 cm, 2 phases (Art. 274.5.3), no restrictions.

(Prize fund EUR 345: 110, 80, 60, 40, 30, 25) 

Competition No. 9 – Obstacles height 110 cm, competition with one jump-off (Art. 238.2.2):

9A – for riders up to 16 years old (year of birth 2003 or later), TOURNAMENT RANKING COURSE.

(Prize fund 300 EUR: 90, 65, 50, 40, 30, 25)

9B – for riders with horses up to 5 years old (year of birth 2014 or later), TOURNAMENT RANKING COURSE.

(Prize fund EUR 300: 90, 65, 50, 40, 30, 25)

9C – no restrictions ranking course for amateurs).

Competition No. 10 – Obstacles height 125 cm, competition with one jump-off (Art. 238.2.2.). TOURNAMENT RANKING COURSE for riders up to 25 years old (year of birth 1994 or later), open class.

Competition No. 11 – Obstacles height up to 135 cm (Art. 238.2.2), no restrictions. TOURNAMENT RANKING COURSE for “The best rider 2019”.

(Prize fund EUR 640: 200, 150, 100, 80, 60, 50)

Competition No. 12 – Obstacles height 60 cm, speed competition (Art. 238.2.1), no restrictions.

Award ceremony

The participants should only appear at the award ceremony with ponies/horses. In special cases, the Chief Jury, in consultation with the Organising Committee, may authorize a participant to appear at the award ceremony without a horse.

In competitions No. 2, 9A and 10 three best participants in overall ranking shall be invited to the award ceremony together with the trainers.

In competitions No. 9B and 11 three best participants in overall ranking shall be invited to the award ceremony together with the horse owners.

In competition No. 1 all participants receive rosettes, diplomas and presents upon completion of the course.

In competitions No. 2, 3 and 12 1st-6th place winners receive diplomas, rosettes, and prizes from competition sponsors.

In competitions No. 4 – 11 1st-6th place winners receive diplomas, rosettes, and gifts from competition sponsors and money prizes, 7th-10th place winners receive gift cards from the organisers.

The athletes should collect money prizes and other prizes before the end of the tournament.

Applications

Arrival to the competition venue: from 12:00 Friday, September 6.

Applications should be submitted by 20:00, Thursday, September 5, by filling in an application form via Equipe Entry system entry.equipe.com.

If applications are submitted after 20:00 September 5, entry fee will be doubled.

In competitions No. 2 and No. 3 applications with horses out of competition will not be accepted.

If a rider participates with several horses, he should specify with which horse he will compete for the title in the tournament.

When applying for open classes up to 100 cm (inclusive), please specify in the notes whether the rider starts with a horse or a pony.

Imported ponies require a horse passport with a pony size with a certified signature.

 

Starting order will be published on the website on the website online.equipe.com and Equipe App.

Entry fee: for course No.1: 15,- EUR,  for courses 2. 3. and 12.: 25,- EUR, for courses 4. – 9.: 30,- EUR, for courses 10. un 11.: 35,- EUR

Box rent: EUR 25.- (for competitions: September 6-8) – 1 pack of shavings in the box.

Shavings – EUR 8.00 per sack;

Hay – EUR 8.00 per bundle; EUR 40.00 per roll;

Electrical connection for trailer: 20 EUR per competitions.

Please call the organiser should you have any queries regarding gift cards received in the YRS Tournament Round I and round II.

 

If applied until September 3, and paid to the YRS account: 1 start in course No.1: 15,- EUR,  for courses 2. 3. and 12.: 20,- EUR, for courses 4. – 9.: 25,- EUR, for courses 10. un 11.: 30,- EUR. If payment is made to the YRS account, a payment order should be produced at the competition venue!

The participants take personal responsibility for possible incidents during the competitions. Participants up to 16 years old must have protective vests. The ARS Emergency Medical Service and a veterinarian will be on duty during the competition.

Competitors must comply with the LEF Latvia veterinary requirements (http://www.leflatvia.lv/web/?id=419196). Valid horse passports must be presented with all necessary veterinary records and vaccinations of horses (INAN examinations and vaccination of equine influenza), passports will be checked! If a horse passport is not presented, or any mandatory vaccination is missing, the horse will not be admitted to the competition, and the entry fee will not be refunded!

By participating in the competition, you agree that the event will be filmed and photographed. The images resulting from the photography/video filming may be broadcast, published and distributed.

Any situations that have not been mentioned in the Rules will be resolved by the Judges and the Organiser.

Athletes accumulate points in the following 5 competitions of 3 rounds of the tournament:

riders with I and II group ponies;

riders up to 16 years old;

riders with horses up to 5 years old;

riders up to 25 years old;

best YRS rider 2019.

 

The title of the best rider in each competition will be awarded by summing up points at 3 rounds of the tournaments.

1st tournament round – 25-26 May

2nd tournament round – 12-14 July

3rd tournament round, final – 7-8 September
